Description
Attaining relatively high and sustained rates of productivity growth is an essential prerequisite for the poorer countries to narrow their development gap with the more advanced ones. This publication discusses how prosperity can be improved and how the gains of globalization can be spread. It looks at the issue of marginalization, unbalanced multilateral trading systems, mobilizing technological capabilities, local dimensions of public goods and movement towards an updated development agenda.
