Description
The Foundations of European Community Law provides a clear and comprehensive account of the constitutional and administrative law of the EC. It assumes no prior knowledge of EC law and is a logical starting place for students, examining as it does, the institutions, the community legal system, major constitutional issues, the European Court and the Court of First Instance. Starting with the institutions, the first part of the book describes the institutions and how this political and economic institution came about. The second and third parts of the book cover the Community legal system and the major constitutional issues that have arisen and are about to arise, analysing these issues in depth. The final part of the book takes the reader into the realms of administration law and remedies. Each part of the book prepares the ground for the next part so that a balanced understanding of the whole subject is possible. The Foundations of European Community Law has acquired a reputation of being a highly reliable undergraduate textbook.The fifth edition builds on this reputation and brings the content fully up to date with all the most recent events and changes taking place in this dynamic field of law.
