Description and Table of Contents

Description

Many Americans believe that the road to financial and social success begins with a bachelor's degree. The fact is that most jobs in America do not now, and will not in the foreseeable future, require a bachelor's degree or more to perform. Quick Prep Careers helps readers find a way to earn a good living and start on the path to future advancement as soon as possible. This book defines key terms and phrases, and profiles 50 jobs that require little or no training prior to entry and only short-term, on-the-job training after entry. It explores an additional 25 jobs for which voluntary or required certification either has been recently introduced or has become increasingly popular. Other features include a self-assessment survey to help readers analyze their values, goals, strengths, and weaknesses, and determines which job option in best for them.
