Description
This first volume of the "International Yearbook of German Idealism" focuses on the forms of reasoning that characterize classical German philosophy as developed by Kant. Subsequent to Kant's critical philosophy, philosophical theory formation in German idealism underwent a radical shift that led to completely new forms of conceptualization and argumentation. This change and its effects all the way through to contemporary philosophy have still not been adequately clarified. Written by leading researchers from Germany and the United States, the chapters of this book explore the background and attributes of the new concepts of rationality in German idealism.
