The book alone is a suitable text for a one quarter/semester graduate-level course on mass transfer for mechanical, aerospace, or nuclear engineers. By omitting the more advanced sections of Chapter 10, it can also be used for a senior-level undergraduate elective course. It is also ideal as a supplement to the 2/E of Heat Transfer, Prentice Hall, 1999.
Mass Transfer is a derivative version of the mass transfer chapters contained in Heat and Mass Transfer, 1995. New sections have been added dealing with transport in multicomponent systems and the conservation equations for multicomponent gas mixtures.
