This text analyses both historical and contemporary trends and developments, utilizes theoretical concepts, and weaves in the interactions of global actors. Presenting the material in a thought-provoking yet accessible manner, the text frames the dynamics of international relations with major theories of realism and liberalism. However, newer theories, such as constructivism are also explored.
