内容説明
Jane Addams (1860-1935) is famous for her progressive ideas for social reform and her deep involvement in international peace efforts. Remaining a pacifist throughout World War I, she was a founder of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1931. Her books and essays on peace are frequently cited but long out of print and hard to obtain. This collection contains reset editions of Addams's "Newer Ideals of Peace" (1906), "Women at the Hague: The International Congress of Women in Its Results" (1915), "Peace and Bread in Time of War" (1922), together with reviews of these books from contemporary journals. There is also a volume of her essays and speeches on peace.
