内容説明

Benjamin Franklin Award is awarded annually by the Publishers Marketing Association (PMA). In 2000, the Benjamin Franklin Award was presented to the "Stereo Atlas of Fluorescein and Indocyanine Green Angiography" in the Professional/Technical category. Angiography is a diagnostic tool used to reveal circulation conditions. Dyes are injected into the patient's body; a special fundus camera is used to provide a photographic visualization of the passage of the radiographic dye through intraocular vessels. The resulting angiogram shows the cytologic and histologic structure of abnormal or diseased tissue. The authors have developed a technique to reproduce angiograms as three-dimensional images. By looking at the images through the special glasses provided with the book, the clinician will gain a better understanding of the underlying pathology. Each selected case includes both regular photographs and 3-D angiograms showing diagnostic details in the early, middle, and late phases of the passage of the dye through the eye. More than just an atlas, the inclusion of stereographic and diagnostic information, much of it in the form of tables and lists, makes this a truly comprehensive clinical resource.
