Description and Table of Contents
Description
This volume identifies and compares the evaluation systems of a representative selection of national and international large scale R&D programmes based upon a framework for meta-evaluation. The 6 R+D programmes considered are the Alvey Programme (UK); the Advanced Technology Programme (US); the EUREKA initiative (European); the Human Frontier Science Programme (International); the Brite-Euram Programme (EU) and the HAN Programme (Korea). The aim is to develop the technique of meta-evaluation for R&D programmes and to assess, through detailed and systematic comparison, the different evaluation approaches. The book also provides a detailed comparison of the different R&D programme designs and operations.
