Description
This publication documents 185 discrete seals preserved on 406 bullae
from the satrapy of Daskyleion in Hellespontine Phrygia, so far the only
evidence of an archive in the western Achaemenid Empire. The seals
provide glimpses of a multicultural society and reveal complex artistic
involvement between Persians and the natives of Anatolia.
