Description

Albrecht Weber's foundational study, The History of Indian Literature includes analyses of writings from the Sanskrit, Buddhist and Vedic periods. Herman Jensen's A Classical Collection of Tamil Proverbs lists proverbs in the Tamil script and with both a literal translation, and an explanation in English. Similarly, John Christian's Behar Proverbs illustrates the different means of expression in these regional proverbs.
