Growing numbers of people with dementia means that there is increasing demand for specialist care homes that can provide high quality, person-centred dementia care. However, care home providers often find it difficult to obtain advice about what is involved in designing, setting up and maintaining a good dementia care home. This title is based on the latest thinking about person-centred dementia care. It draws on case studies of recently built specialist dementia care homes to produce practical suggestions about designing, setting up and managing specialist care home facilities for people with dementia.
