Responding to the continuing interest in all things Scandinavian, this book draws together inspiring homes to provide a source of ideas for creating a look that succeeds in being both modern and timeless. History spreads at the beginning of each main section anchor the modern interiors in relation to the development of Scandi style throughout the 20th century. Interiors are from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Following a brief introduction to the Scandinavian style and world-class manufactureres and design skills of these countries, the book is divided into three sections looking at the evolution and characteristics of the rural style, followed by waterside living, and concluding with urban homes.
