内容説明
The number of high school and youth teams playing lacrosse has increased 65 percent in the past decade, making lacrosse the fastest growing team sport in the United States, yet there remains no single, comprehensive guide to lacrosse for girls. The rules for girl's lacrosse are decidedly different than that played by boys. The game is played on a field with no boundaries, body checking is prohibited, and a shallow pocket stick (as opposed to a deep pocket stick) is used, among other variations. Winning Lacrosse for Girls will teach thousands of new players entering the sport each year its basic skills, strategies, and drills. Eleven chapters will cover the history of the game, the basics of stick handling, the rules of play, passing and receiving, offense and defense, key strategies, skills and tactics, conditioning and much more. It will be illustrated with at least 75 photographs and 10 diagrams. This will be a new addition to the Winning Sports for Girls series and will follow the series format.
