Description and Table of Contents

Description

In 1998 and 2000, United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) joined forces with United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Center of Environmental Science (CML) to facilitate an international discussion forum on two specific issues of scientific development in the field of Life Cycle Assessment. The first issue was the level of sophistication in impact assessment, and the second was the type of environmental indicators to use. Two expert workshops were held, at which these matters were discussed. This publication provides an introduction to the workshop topics, a report of the two workshops, and some resources for further information.
