内容説明
Water is surely one of the most fascinating elements in architecture and landscape architecture. It can be used to create constantly changing images and effects especially when combined with the play of light. The projects presented in this volume illustrate how delightful and versatile designs with and by water can be, including: Erasmus Garten in Rotterdam (Adriaan Geuze), Duindoornstad (Harm Tilman), the Square of Human Rights at Evry (Kathryn Gustafson), Barcelona's seaside promenade (Enric Battle and Joan Roig) and Copenhagen's Christianhavn (Sven-Ingvar Andersson).

Designing with water is surely one of the most interesting aspects in architecture and landscape architecture. This fascinating element can be used in a multitude of different ways, constantly creating new images and new effects especially when it is combined with light. The projects which are presented in this volume illustrate how delightful designs with and by water can be. Whether it is the Promenade on the Guadalquivir river or Christiansharbour in Copenhagen, a park in Sabadell, or the Square of Human Rights in Evry, the town of Barcelona or Portuguese Lagos, these projects show how versatile and attractive water as a design element is. All contributions come from editions of "Topos - European Landscape Magazine" and are being published for the first time as a thematic book.
