Description
Since 1998, the Whitney Museum of American has been quietly acquiring pop artist Claes Oldenburg's drawings, as well as those made with his wife and artistic partner, Coosje van Bruggen. The Whitney has approximately 90 drawings - the largest collection in the world. Published to accompany an exhibition of Oldenburg's drawings, this volume covers nearly a 40-year period, from 1959 to 1998, and features colour illustrations, text and an interview with Oldenburg.
