Description
This work includes the latest work by Guy Lafranchi: the topics treated being projects for Brazil, Switzerland, Egypt and Hawaii as well as a number of concept projects presented by means of drawings, paintings and models. Texts by Guy Lafranchi himself elucidate further. Lebbeus Woods on Lafranchi: "I regard his work as original both in substance and approach. It also makes a significant contribution towards progress in theory and design. The title "Urban Nomad" refers to the problems of the past and globalisation, problems that many architects talk about, but that only a few, such as Lafranchi, convert into architecture of the highest standard. Lebbeus Woods' foreword treats Lafranchi's work in the light of the current theory debate and contemporary architectural practice.
