Description and Table of Contents

Description

This book is a comprehensive analysis of major elements of change in East Asia which will impact the political outlook and regional cooperation in economics and security. By taking a close look at these substantive issues and elements, the book will help readers to relate to the issues concerning the ASEAN economic community, such as the ASEAN-China free trade area (FTA), as well as the FTA between ASEAN and Japan. It also examines other bilateral efforts currently undertaken by many East Asian countries. The book stresses the need not only for domestic restructuring but also for closer co-operation which will lead to greater sustainable and dynamic growth for regions of East Asia.
