This collection presents some of the finest anthems from the period that are suitable for varied use by modern cathedral, collegiate, and church choirs. It presents well-known works and less familiar anthems and includes examples of the three main types of anthem cultivated at the time - the full anthem, the full anthem with verses, and the verse anthem.
