Description and Table of Contents

Description

This thesis looks at local ceramic technologies at four sites in Pakistan from the Early Harappan period (ca 3500 to 2650 BC). Divided in two parts, the study describes the development of a lightweight and portable kit for conducting petrographic analyses of archaeological ceramics in the field and discusses the portable kit in action, analysing thin sections of Early Harappan ceramics. Three Appendices present the raw data.
