Description
The 'China in the Globalised World' series examines regionalism and regional studies, economics and policy studies, politics and international relations. China's role in the globalised world will be examined, taking into account the social and economic developments as well as cultural and theoretical developments in contemporary China. The aim is to present a different perspective on developments in the above-mentioned areas in China, including society, ideological systems, security, policies, diplomatic strategies, and international relations. This volume is a selection of updated papers originally published in the 2003 issues of SIIS Journal. Major topics explored include China and US strategic stability framework, Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, interaction between China and international society, impact of Iraq's war and China's role in the anti-terrorism strategy post-September 11.
