World Commodity Survey explores recent world trends and developments, which have had an impact on commodity markets. It presents comprehensive, practical information on the increasingly globalized markets for over 80 commodities that are produced and traded internationally. This year's edition is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the current issues and uncertainties in world markets at this transitional point in world history, including the impact of Enron's collapse and its major implications for corporate governance. The second part reviews trends in the major regions of the world economy. The third part looks at derivatives and financial markets, along with developments in commodity market trading. Other important issues addressed in this publication include the US farm bill, the reconstruction of the cocoa sector in Cote d'lvoire and the growth of electricity markets in Europe.
