内容説明
Broadly, the book is about the twin phenomena of liberalization and globalization that are currently sweeping the world and the complex economic issues thrown up by them. In this text, critical issues relating to globalization are presented in a compact yet rigorous manner using the basic principles of environmental studies, international trade theory, industrial organization, and public economics. The proper role of the state in a system where neoliberalism is the driving force, the case for and against multinational corporations, the implications of exchange rate flexibility and capital mobility for macro-management, the impact of stronger IP protection on the welfare of developing countries. These are economic theory. Examples from India and other countries have been used to illustrate issues.
