This is the first detailed monograph on the work of Allain Provost, one of the most important French landscape architects of the 20th century. His extensive works include designs for Courneuve Park (1972-2000), Eurotunnel, Calais (1987), the Technocentre Renault, Guyancourt (1992-2000), the reconstruction of the castle gardens of Villarceaux (1994-1999), and the Thames Barrier Park, London (1995-2000). In addition to the 540 illustrations of these and other works, author, architect, and planner Michel Racine describes Provost's work in the greater context of French garden and landscape architecture.
