Description
"Sometimes there's a map showing all the right paths, with your name on it. And all you have to do is find the right map".
"Yeah, simple".
Ian Thompson hadn't planned to be a travel writer. He just loved travelling- the thrill of departure, the anonymity of flight, the freedom of movement. Well, that is until he breaks his ankle inVenezuela.
Now with his leg imprisoned in a plaster shackle and the untimely news that he's about to be thrown out of his one bedroom flat (that smells gently of chicken chow mein), the only place 31 year old Ian is going, is back home to his parents.
When his best mate Gemma calls to say her husband has left her, he's only to glad to come to her rescue (especially following a rather embarrassing 'incident' involving a plastic bag, a Victorian sponge and himself naked in front of his mum and three women from the church congregation).
On a quest to cheer Gemma up and help put her life back together, Ian also finds himself on a soul-searching quest for happiness.
As the two best friends join forces they soon discover that when it comes to love and relationships, the path you first choose, isn't always the right one.
