内容説明
Christian Marclay is a New York-based, Swiss-American sculptor and installation artist who emerged in the 1980s. Also a musician, composer, DJ and filmmaker, Marclay explores the gap between what we see and what we hear, to create what he calls a 'theatre of found sound'
The artist is represented by Paula Cooper Gallery, 534 West 21 St. and 521 West 21 Street (2nd fl.) New York, NY, 10011, USA, tel. 212, 255-1105, fax 212 255 5156, and White Cube, 48 Hoxton Square, London N1 6PB, tel. +44 20 7749 7477, fax 20 7749 7470

Interview - Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon concentrates on Marclay's collaborations with musicians and his performance work * Survey - Art historian and critic Jennifer Gonzalez examines Marclay's output, primarily focusing on his work as a visual artist * Focus - Art critic and curator Matthew Higgs looks closely at the structure and content of the immensely complex, highly enjoyable Video Quartet (2002) * Artist's Choice The artist has selected The Prose of the Trans-Siberian and of Little Jehanne of France (1913), originally a fold-out poster poem by Swiss writer Blaise Cendrars (1887-1961), who, like the artist, worked across various disciplines. * Artist's Writings include 'Interview Cut-up', a spliced interview combining key conversations that the artist has published since 1991 specially created with the artist for this volume, and Extended Play (1989), a succinct statement on music-as-sculpture * Chronology and Bibliography
