Description
Thrombosis, an important complication of atherosclerosis and of various medical and surgical conditions, can be prevented and treated effectively by a variety of pharmacologic agents. This monograph provides a summary of the 2003 American College of Chest Surgeons Recommendations for pharmacologic agents, together with a brief review of the background data on which the therapeutic recommendations are based. Each section concludes with a detail summary documenting the therapeutic recommendations.
