Description and Table of Contents

Description

Diseases associated with thrombosis are the most common cause of death and disability among adults in Western countries. Measures to prevent and treat thrombosis along with cholesterol lowering, anti hypertensive therapy, smoking cessation, and improved treatment of diabetes mellitus constitute the major interventions in lowering this toll of death and disability. Continuing education in antithrombotic therapy is important as new therapies and drugs are being introduced all the time.
