MAK values (Maximum Concentrations at the Workplace) provide a basis for the judgement of the toxic potential of chemical compounds at workplaces. About 900 chemical compounds are classified. Carcinogens, embryotoxicants, sensitizing substances or germ cell mutagens are treated separately.
