Description
The Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection of classical carpets comprise carpets from every Near Eastern and Oriental country. In this catalogue, 70 carpets and nine textiles are presented, each piece discussed in depth and illustrated in colour. Some 30 additional pieces are reproduced as comparative material. Comprehensive introductions for each of the geographical groupings provide the reader with a complete overview of the classical oriental carpet.
