内容説明・目次

内容説明

This book describes the Academic Club Method Approach and shows teachers how to use it in their classrooms. Through a total environmental approach, the method envelops students in a particular topic and utilizes the arts as teaching tools. This method of teaching can be used with all students, but is particularly effective for children with learning disabilities and ADHD. Chapters discuss the principles behind the approach and the procedures for organizing a club. Several detailed examples of academic club themes, lessons, and activities are included. The Academic Club Method was first developed in 1966 for use with inner city youth and is currently used as a way of teaching at The Lab School of Washington and the Baltimore Lab.
