Description and Table of Contents

Description

This is the fifteenth issue in an annual series of publications based on Singapore Perspectives, the annual flagship conference held by the Institute of Policy Studies that seeks to provide an audience of policy-makers, business elites, and civil society activists with an early outlook on the year that is unfolding, as well as insights into critical strategic trends that are likely to affect Singapore in the longer term. These publications provide a macro-level outlook on politics and the economy in Singapore. This is the backdrop for another set of papers that discuss what shapes the people's sense of political and socio-economic inclusion here today. The third set of papers focuses on foreign affairs, taking a critical look at how Singapore can better develop warmer ties, and partnerships with her closet neighbours, Indonesia and Malaysia, amongst others, that might help us all to thrive in the midst of the challenges brought on by global economic and geopolitical pressures.
