Summary: The diaries of Mackenzie King include his record of education at the University of Toronto, his entry into the Canadian civil service, his achievements as Canadian Minister of Labour and as head of the Rockefeller Foundation's Department of Industrial Relations, and his 1919 election as leader of the Liberal Party. King also discusses the Liberal Party Victory of 1921 and 1926, his efforts as Prime Minister of Canada, the rise of the Conservatives in the 1930 election, and records his impressions of prominent political and social figures
