Description and Table of Contents

Description

This comprehensive, fully-illustrated catalogue accompanies a major exhibition of newly-commissioned work by the Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, whose practice spans photography, video, painting and sculpture, and which often references existing film, music and poetry. The exhibition will consist of a series of loosely connected spaces that will bring together new paintings, sculptures and a sound installation. Curated by David Thorp the exhibition will explore the artist's method which he has described himself as a form of poetic stream of consciousness combined with visual diaries, giving form to an encounter between the artist's inner world and his surroundings. The publication will act as a key reference point for Rondinone's practice including an overview essay, two other essays focusing on specific thematic concerns, an interview with the artist and an illustrated biography and bibliography.
