Description
All papers included in this work were peer-reviewed. These contributions address regional geodynamics and geohazards, mitigation of the catastrophic impacts of extreme natural events on society, and how to raise the awareness of scientific as well as political decision makers in order to launch appropriate initiatives for the region in terms of disaster mitigation and preparedness. These contributions provide an invaluable insight and archival record of the relationship between Earth dynamics, natural hazards and georisk, and society in this region.
