Description

In the last thirty years, the picture of Israel's religious history has changed fundamentally. The main reason for this were new archaeological finds such as the "YHWH and his Asherah" texts found in Israel. At the same time, the questioning approach to biblical texts from the point of view of religious history has changed. On the occasion of Klaus Koch's 80th birthday, important studies by the jubilee are being compiled that want to document his contribution to this changed picture of research. You can find, among other things, essays on the "Aschera" texts and text contributions on Egyptian religion and its contribution to understanding the Old Testament. Whoever deals with the religious history of Israel will not be able to do without this volume.
