Christopher Columbus has long been a household name, yet even after 500 years many people know little of his voyages. This book looks at Columbus - the navigator, sea captain, explorer - written from a Caribbean perspective. While the author does not neglect Columbus' origins in Europe, he tells the story with regard for the viewpoint of the native peoples who "discovered" Columbus and his ships. The text is complemented by line maps and information about Columbus' routes and landings.
