Description
It has become obvious in recent years that many business areas can be affected by the growth of microorganisms, which can cause serious health risks and enormous financial damage if they are allowed to develop. The potential growth of these microorganisms is possible in a whole range of industrial processes where water is present, and in all cases the use of industrial biocides is necessary in order to avoid costly damage. Biocides are becoming increasingly important in controlling microorganisms in domestic situations, in industry, agriculture and health. This volume provides the non-specialist reader with an introduction to this growing field by outlining the problems which exist and showing how these may be solved by the use of a variety of chemical biocides.
