It contains over 200 contributions communicated through speech, writing, sign language, word-processing, drawing, painting and photography. The contents of the book challenges preconceptions and stereotypes about people labelled as "mentally handicapped", and gives readers the opportunity to understand the world from the point of view of someone with learning difficulties. This is a course book for students on Open University course K668 "Mental Handicap"
