内容説明

Collaborative, ephemeral, self-reflective, multidisciplinary - the work generated by the rapid series of experimental artistic movements that energized the public sphere in postwar Japan was totally unexpected. For two decades, a small but progressive group of visual artists, musicians, dancers, theatre performers and writers confronted the legacy left behind by Japan's involvement in World War II. "Art, Anti-Art, Non-Art" offers an introduction to this highly charged and innovative era in Japanese art. This unique volume features rare objects, books, periodicals, photographs and other ephemera created by artists associated with the various movements of the period, including the Experimental Workshop, Tokyo Fluxus, and Neo Dada.
