"The India Infrastructure Report 2006" focuses on recent developments in infrastructure, especially electricity, telecom, water, roads, ports, and urban infrastructure. General overview of urban development trends in India and current limitations of the urban planning system are discussed, along with the reasons for ineffectiveness of the urban planning system as practised now and argues for a strategic master plan with a coherent spatial policy.
