Description
The spectacular economic development in eastern Asia at the end of the last century brought international watchers to despair twice: first the growth, later the crisis. They could not explain both phenomena. This book tries to fill the gap. The authors use the term 'international capital flow' as the key. They see the quick growth and the sudden crisis as sides of the same coin. With this they bridge the literature on the 'Asian growth' on the one hand with the literature on the 'Asian crisis' on the other.
