Biomechanics is one of the branches of engineering sciences in which mechanical principles are applied for understanding the physiology of various systems and ailments. During the last few years there has been a significant growth in the area of biomechanics through the development and incorporation of medical and engineering techniques. Intricacies involved in understanding biomechanics involve input from almost all branches of knowledge domains. Various areas of biomechanics such as cardiovascular mechanics, sports mechanics and ergonomics, modeling and simulation in biomechanics, rehabilitation and physiotherapy are discussed in the book. Modern topics of healthcare have been presented with good combination of macro and micro level analysis of various problems related to developing countries.
