"Containing rules and notifications made under those provisions of the Sea Customs Act, 1878 (VIII of 1878) that empower the Governor-General in Council or the chief customs authority to make such rules and notifications, excepting notifications of merely local interest; containing also resolutions of the Government of India. Notifications issued under the Land Customs Act, 1924 and also extracts from and orders under other Acts relating to the Customs Depatment together with 2 appendices containing list of ports in India and concessions granted to consular officers. All customs forms referred to in the various rules and notifications in the Indian Sea Customs manual have been printed in a separate volume as "Appendix A""
