内容説明

Is democracy possible in a world dominated by large organizations? Can the individual excercise real control over his or her own life? This book is a discussion of the possibilities for the democratic reorganization of modern society. It argues that a genuine democracy is achievable, but only in a society without a state. It rejects, for example, the present system of electoral or parliamentary democracy, together with the idea of direct participation in the decision-making process by all concerned. The book offers proposals for the establishment and working of a new democracy. It argues the case in a non-technical style. It should have an impact not only on discussions of democratic theory, but also on the practice of politics.
