内容説明
In this seventh volume of The Illustrated Flora of Illinois series, the first to be devoted to the dicotyledonous plants, Robert H. Mohlenbrock includes four orders and thirteen families of plants. The orders covered in this work are the Theales, Ebenales, Primulales, and Cistales. Families described are the Aquifoliaceae, Hypericaceae, Elatinaceae, Ericaceae, Ebenaceae, Sapotaceae, Styracaceae, Primulaceae, Violaceae, Cistaceae, Passifloraceae, Cucurbitaceae, and Loasaceae. In all, 46 genera and 130 species are discussed. Each species is illustrated, showing the habit as well as some of the distinguishing features in detail. A description, while not necessarily intended to be complete, covers the more important features of each species.Because of the unique breadth of scope coupled with the easy-to-use yet scientifically exacting organization of the individual volumes in the series, The Illustrated Flora of Illinois has found ready acceptance among professionals and others interested in Illinois flora."
