Description
Data handbooks on German educational history present the available educational statistics in long time series from 1800 to 2001. This volume offers access to around one million pieces of data on vocational and university education. The time series document very differentiated data on institutions (school and university types), participation (pupils and students according to gender, age, etc.), qualifications (pupils and students according to subject) and degree (pupils and students according to degree types and success rates). The text of the data manual contains an overview of the institutional history as well as an interpretive passage through the data compiled here from the greatest educational expansion in German history.
