High Pressure Biology II is, in fact, the proceedings to the Fifth International Meeting on High Pressure Biology which was held in St. Petersburg, Russia in July of 1997. This extensive volume (over 60 chapters) provides the reader with an in-depth examination of the latest research being done in hyperbaric biology including: cellular and molecular barobiology, systems and whole organism studies, and mechanisms of hyperbaric oxygen.
