Description
In November 1996 world leaders committed themselves to what was considered an ambitious but attainable target: to halve by 2015 the number of undernourished people in the world from the 1990 level. The eight edition of the State of Food Insecurity in the World examines progress towards this target. The Report presents a review of progress and setback in the various regions and discusses some of the constraints to hunger reduction efforts and challenges yet to be faced. Publishing Agency: Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
